Tokyo Skytree Guide: Bus Stop, Tickets & Best Views

Visible from almost anywhere on the bus route, the Tokyo Skytree is a beast of engineering. Standing at 634 meters, it is the tallest broadcasting tower in the world. The Red Course takes you right to the base, making it an essential hop-off point.

The Observation Decks

Tembo Deck (350m)

The main deck features glass floors and wide viewing panels. On a clear day, you can see Mt. Fuji in the distance.

Tembo Galleria (450m)

For an extra fee, go higher to the "Sorakara Point." The sloping spiral ramp makes you feel like you are walking in the sky.

Ticket Tip: Buy "Fast Skytree Tickets" (for international visitors) to skip the long lines on weekends.

Tokyo Solamachi

At the base of the tower is Solamachi ("Sky Town"), massive shopping and dining complex.

• Pokemon Center Skytree Town: A must for fans.
• Food Court: Great place to grab lunch. Try the Monjayaki, a local Tokyo specialty batter dish.
• Souvenirs: Look for Skytree-shaped bottles of water, chocolates, and limited-edition goods.

Sumida Aquarium

Located on the 5th and 6th floors of Solamachi.

• It’s an "urban aquarium" known for its artistic jellyfish displays and open penguin tank.
• Perfect for families needing a break from the heat or rain.

Connection

The bus stop is conveniently located, but be aware of the timetable. Skytree is often the furthest point on the Red Course, so ensure you don't miss the last bus back to the city center!
