Sightseeing works up an appetite. Here is your cheat sheet for iconic Tokyo eats near the major Sky Hop Bus stops.

Stop: Marunouchi / Tokyo Station

The Dish: Tsukemen (Dipping Ramen)

  • Where: Rokurinsha (Ramen Street, inside station). Be prepared to wait, but the thick, fishy broth is legendary.

Stop: Tsukiji (Blue Course)

The Dish: Sushi / Kaisendon (Seafood Bowl)

  • Where: The Outer Market. Although the inner wholesale market moved, the outer market is still foodie heaven. Try a fresh uni (urchin) bump or a tamagoyaki (egg omelet) on a stick.

Stop: Asakusa (Red Course)

The Dish: Tempura

  • Where: Daikokuya. Famous for its dark, rich sauce poured over massive shrimp tempura. It’s a historic taste of old Edo.

Stop: Skytree (Red Course)

The Dish: Monjayaki

  • Where: Nearby Tsukishima district is the home, but Solamachi has great specialty restaurants. It's like a runny savory pancake that you cook yourself on a grip—ugly but delicious.

Stop: Shinjuku (Green Course)

The Dish: Yakitori (Grilled Chicken)

  • Where: Omoide Yokocho (Piss Alley). A narrow atmospherical alley filled with tiny stalls grilling skewers over charcoal.

Stop: Akihabara (Red Course)

The Dish: Curry

  • Where: Go Go Curry. Famous for "Kanazawa style" curry—thick, dark sauce served with a pork cutlet and shredded cabbage. A hearty meal for otaku energy.

Tip: Most places display plastic food samples outside. If you can't read the menu, just take a photo of the plastic model you want and show it to the staff!
