Catch the best cherry blossom views in Tokyo from the top deck. Highlights include Chidorigafuchi and Ueno Park.

Spring in Tokyo is synonymous with Sakura (Cherry Blossoms). For a few weeks in late March and early April, the city turns pink. Riding the open-top bus during this season is a bucket-list experience, as the branches of cherry trees often hang right over the road, creating a tunnel of flowers.
The bus drives along the moat where hundreds of cherry trees lean over the water. It is one of Tokyo's most famous hanami spots. From the high vantage point of the bus, you get a view often blocked by crowds on the sidewalk.
While the bus doesn't drive inside the park's main alley, the stops nearby allow you to hop off and join the festive atmosphere. Ueno is known for its "party style" hanami with blue tarps and picnics.
The streets around Tokyo Midtown are lined with illuminated cherry trees (at night) or lush pink avenues by day. The urban backdrop provides a stark contrast to the delicate flowers.
Pro Tip: Sit on the left side of the bus for the best angles of Chidorigafuchi when approaching from the Imperial Palace side.
Crowds! This is the peak tourist season.
Don't miss the limited-time spring courses if available!
